Event Name:GACHIP Program for the Developmentally Disabled
Location:Burnt Mountain Center

End Time:2:00 PM
Description:Sponsored by the Georgia Masons and Burnt Mountain Center. This event is FREE and open to any family with a need for it, including families with children or adults with memory loss.
GACHIP stands for Georgia Child Identification Program and this event is the first time it has been offered to someone other than children. All identifying information, including pictures, is burned onto a disc and presented to the parent or guardian. It is intended to be used to help law enforcement in finding or positively identifying the person in the event that the identified person ever goes missing.
The completed disc includes: photographs, vital statistics (hair & eye color, height & weight), fingerprints, other identifying marks and a dental impression.
