The Rick Perkins Award recipient serves as an ambassador for technical education throughout the state. The announcement of Houston as the Chattahoochee Technical College Rick Perkins Award winner was made by Dr. Mark Reddick, Division Chair of Personal and Public Services and Rick Perkins Award Coordinator. Houston will compete with the other Georgia technical college winners from the northern region for the region Rick Perkins Award title. Each region will then select two finalists whose names will be announced in May at the annual Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership and Rick Perkins Award conference.
