Tony Orta to address July 27th Pickens County Tea Party
7/15/2010 - Once again the Pickens County Tea Party is bringing to the front a speaker who knows about socialism and communism first hand because he lived to tell the story.
His name is Octavio Orta (Tony), a naturalized American of Cuban descent. He came to the United States at the age of 16, not because he wanted to but to escape the Castro regime. He knew no one, little English and was in a strange land but he managed to make the best of the situation because of the opportunities America offers to anyone who is willing to work and strive to succeed. He has held CEO positions with major companies and has his B.A. and Doctorate in Business from the University of Georgia. His Masters degree was obtained in Switzerland.
Tony knows about having free enterprise and your fundamental freedoms taken away. He knows about "fundamentally changing" a country and he would like to share this with you. He often, with a knowing look in his eye, will say, "maybe I am being paranoid". What follows however is a direct comparison of what happened in Cuba to what is happening in America now.
